Girl Scouts Cyber Challenge

Girl Scouts Cyber Challenge

Detect, Decode, Defend and go on an Epic Cyber Challenge Adventure with the Girls Scouts of Historic Georgia!

On Saturday, October 19, Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) and Raytheon are collaborating with 10 Girl Scout councils from across the country, including Historic Georgia, to launch the first-ever Girl Scout Cyber Challenge, sponsored by Raytheon. At these events, middle school and high school girls will learn crucial cybersecurity skills by completing challenges such as running traceroutes and identifying phishing schemes, with the goal of preparing girls in Historic Georgia to pursue careers in computer science and cybersecurity. The challenges will be based on a fictional scenario that takes place in the year 2050: humans have colonized the moon and a ransomware attack has targeted the colony’s water supply. The girls must work together as part of an incident response team to find out who hacked the system and how to stop them.

Girl Scouts Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors will put their leadership skills to the test to save the moon with Girl Scouts and Raytheon!
